The NASCAR Xfinity Series will try a variation of the now standard qualifying format for all of the seasons 33 races.
Everyone is now surely accustom to the NASCAR qualifying format. There are 3 rounds, first round has all 40 drivers compete, round 2 features the fastest 24, and round 3 sets the pole with the fastest 12 cars. However, the Xfinity series is trying something a little different. Instead of 3 rounds, there will now be 2 rounds. One round of 40, and one round of 12. And, they will do this everywhere, including restrictor plate tracks.
